The pacing plods along, and it ended too neatly tied in a bow for my liking. Reminded me of the ending in ‘War of the Worlds’, aka AND THEN THEY JUST WENT AWAY!! NO REALLY THEY DID & LET’S NOT THINK ABOUT WHY OR WHAT THIS MEANS TOO LONG OKAY!! Worth watching just to see a cinematic relic but I’m not going to spend too long thinking about this one..

Bale was incredible & so spooky. I enjoyed Portman’s storyline in this film, and think it closed the romantic door nicely. Overall thought it was a fun watch, but this film suffers immensely from being in the shadow of Ragnarok.

Simmons, this lighthearted comedy dips its toe into sci-fi with a modernised take on Groundhog Day. There’s one moment in the film where the characters gloss over something saying “is it real? It doesn’t matter” and I think that sums up a lot of the film. Is it great sci-fi? It’s kinda goofy, and there are lots of questions left unanswered but otherwise entertaining. I would particularly recommend this for those who aren’t normally super into sci-fi/fantasy.
