It kept me hooked from start to finish. Satirical and at times goofy (even in the pretty dark moments); this film presents like humorous war propoganda. Some aspects of the film seem a little dated, but otherwise has a refreshingly feminist take for such a film (the lead female characters get into the academy through their own merit and are seen as peers and not inferior to male soldiers/pilots, and though there is obvious sexual tension between genders, the ending is not romantically focused). Feels like it ends abruptly, but it's also the right ending. Would recommend.
